The Billy Graham Association does a special Christmas package for children in need around the world. We are collecting shoe boxes filled with gifts either for a boy or girl and bring it to the school office with a $7 check to pay for shipping. This is a wonderful way to show the love of Jesus to a child who may not have heard of Jesus before. Consider donating a box as a family project.

Our goal in 4th grade is to read at least 60 minutes a week which works out to 15 minutes a day if you are keeping track Monday -Thursday. I have noticed that the students who do read regularly have better reading comprehension. Practice does help! Keep track of your daily minutes in your planner and get mom or dad to sign your planner on Thursday night. Mrs. Urbank is going to keep track of students who read during the week and if they follow directions they will earn a book-it reward at the end of the month. Read a book you enjoy and then it becomes fun instead of a chore!
